Great and helpful this article, also the 51 missions’ one! I made a presentation to my boss and manager, and we are now brainstorming a good mission to our company, it’s not an easy work though.

Excellent read. You made a somewhat ambiguous topic so much easier to grasp. I felt for the 1st time in the 12 years of owning a business that I could easily formulate both a vision statement and a mission statement that was very distinct from one another.

In reply to Leong Soy Cheng. I agree. It is often difficult to distinguish Purpose, from Mission, from Vision. That's one of the reasons I started writing about these subjects...because I felt it would be useful for others to have some distinctions. Just by talking about this, I think we all get a little better at discussing the differences that may apply. Then, hopefully our companies and personal projects will also be the better for it :) Thanks very much for your comment.
