Yes, I agree and actively encourage my clients to set SMART goals and while doing this we also consider the HARD strategies. I also find that HARD tend to work better for woman than men, but this may also be an indication of the comfort level in which one can visualise their goals or desires and then display them for regular revision.

I think SMART is a great way to ensure you understand what you are doing, but I think if you apply HARD as well you will end up loving what you do and doing what you love.
